Zurich - an afternoon

This morning we said goodbye toMatius, Monika and family and travelled from La Neuveville by train. There was just enough time in Zurich for a short lake "cruise" and a walk around the old town before heading to the airport. We are checked in and waiting the boarding call. Out the windows are many jets and it looks like a Red Cross convention. No - those are white crosses on a red tail. This is the home port of Swiss Air.

We are leaving central / Western Europe for the south. In less than 3 hours we will be in Rome. It's been 18 days since we saw snow around us and the day we leave Switzerland there are forecasts for snow. Ah well, at least a few tiny flakes fell on us this morning. Goodbye Switzerland.
